Beautifully nestled amidst the greenery of Chamba District in Himachal Pradesh, Dalhousie is a pristine hill town. Another must visit attraction here is the Ganji Pahari. Situated in the Bakrota Hills, this peak is one hour walk away from Dalhousie. Being devoid of any sort of vegetation on its top, it is the barrenness of the hill that gives it the name ‘bald hill’. The intoxicating views of the surroundings and the fresh mountain air makes the hill perfect for a trek and one of the best places to visit in Dalhousie.
You may also visit Kajjiar, if you wish to see mini Switzerland of India. The hill town located at 2000 meters is surrounded by flourishing covers of deodar and pine trees. The Kalatop Wildlife Reserve, located at an average elevation of 2,500 meters is a great retreat for wildlife enthusiasts. Apart from abundance of flora, the Sanctuary also boasts of great fauna, including Himalayan Black bear, Pheasants and Himalayan black marten, etc.
